So I know this is pretty old news but if you didn’t know yet Daft Punk is slated to do the soundtrack for the new TRON movie by Disney. The date is TBA in 2011. So since Daft Punk is taking their sweet time to come out with another album this is the closest thing we got. There are debates that these two tracks are fakes but whatever who cares! Sounds good enough to me, and we have been dying to hear from these guys since their Alive tour.

On Sept. 30, 2009 Datarock killed the El Rey Theater along with openers Kav and Esser. I missed Kav but Esser was enjoyable. Check out their single “Headlock” below. The show itself was very entertaining, Datarock is great live and bring a lot of energy on the stage. It has been a while since I went to a show where the act is crowd surfing, inviting totally smashed girls on stage,  and dancing on the dance floor with everyone. Thank you Datarock for a spectacular Wednesday night!
